Buckley’s Guide was the brainchild of local Bright resident Lisa Buckley in the mid 1990’s when she was operating Bright’s first bed and breakfast. She identified a need for a more cohesive and compact way of presenting the local businesses to the holiday guest. Lisa developed a compendium style folder which had A4 black and white photocopies of the restaurants and activity businesses in the area. From these humble beginnings the Buckley’s Guide has grown into a full colour 100 plus page publication and has been successfully covering the Alpine Shire for over 20 years and has expanded into Indigo Shire over the last decade.

Local accommodation owners hold the publication in high regard as it provides an added service to guests and a quality book to display in their rooms. It eliminates the need to collect, display, monitor and distribute numerous tourist brochures.
